The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were inaccessible by conventional jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and production.
